STAR WARS at Yokohama Sogo

"Here's Yoda, a man of the same as me."

I found them at Yokohama Sogo department store!
Hardcore fans may be angry if they know I can't understand the difference between the two storm troopers in the second picture.

Why the storm trooper left behind is more expensive than the one right front?

I don't know.

I'm so excited to see many STAR WARS characters here.☺️

Pepper & R2-D2

I'm with Pepper, a talking robot supported by SoftBank, a Japanese carrier.

I enjoy talking with him. He sometimes replies properly, otherwise not.

And I met R2-D2!
It is a running refrigerator !
Amazing!

Green in Gamberi Desert

Let me introduce this article.
As this is introduced in Japanese, most people in the world cannot know what is written in the article.
However, the photos can help you to understand what is happening in Gamberi Desert.

This great result is brought based on Green Ground Fund for Afghanistan Program by Peshawar-kai, which is non-governmental organization mainly engaging in medical services in Pakistan.
This program is aimed for keeping stable water source even in cases of drought and flood by building irrigation canals.
For bank protection, willows are planted along the riversides and gabions are used. Those are Japanese traditional ways of protecting banks. From the point of repair and maintenance, they are the best ways to be adopted in Gamberi Desert.

As canals are developed, more crop harvests increase. More crop harvests increase, more refugees come back to engage in agriculture. As a result more than 150 thousand refugees have come back to the desert.
Along with improving the environment, people have had better moral and crimes like violence, terrorism, and thefts have declined.

**********************************************

I heard it took nearly ten years to plant trees in Gamberi Desert.
There must have been a lot of difficulties and failures.
Some said, “It is impossible to make a desert filled with green.” Or “ It is crazy!”

I am very proud of the endeavor, the patience, and the indomitable will of Peshawar-kai.
They give can-do spirit to me and to those who are struggling with difficulties with feeling despair.

I hope many people all over the world listen to my song(^_^)

I got a chance to sing a song for the girls in the picture.
They are MiMi and NaNa who are full-body mascot.

I love the song very much. It  is fast and upbeat music.
Unfortunately, it is allowed to introduce just a part of it.
I still hope you listen to the music and come to like it!

A woman with Afro hair

After the event of picture-story show, we had a cast-party (I'm not a cast but a staff).*\(^o^)/*
Everybody played with me by putting an Afro wig and a strange glasses.
Mmmm... I enjoyed it.
My friend asked me to put on an Afro wig and a strange glasses.
I followed his words and ...

How do I look?

I can hide anything everything in my hair.

Just kidding!

I joked around too much ....

My first try to upload video

First Try!

I love singing songs.
And reading books aloud.
I have been thinking of posting video clips reading stories I write near future.
However, I don't have enough knowledge about using a computer.
Then I am studying how to make video clips, how to download and upload, etc.
As my first challenge, I upload sound-only video.
I hope it works out.

On the Valentine Day

I'm here for book reading toda I am having a cup of Earl Grey tea at the cafe "Heikinritsu"meaning equal temperament located near Gakugeidaigaku station.

I'm here for book reading today.

Here a member comes
with ”Hoge-chan”.

”What's Hoge-chan”?

You must think so.

Hoge-chan is …

A stuffed Hoge-chan is a tour de force by the member.
It seems to pop up from the book.

What Hoge-chan looks at is Apple pie made by Erisa, the cafe owner.

"This is my favorite*\(^o^)/*"

The happiest moment for Hoge-chan.

Erisa's apple pie is not spiced with cinnamon.
If you do not like cinnamon,

Here it is!
Here's apple-pie without cinnamon!
Please come and eat it.
But one thing to mind. Not always apple pie is cooked, call the cafe before you come.
Here's the telephone number.
               tel:03-3716-6537

Pretty special doughnuts just for Valentine's Day

a limited package of small doughnuts for Valentine's
Day
limited designs of doughnuts for Valentine's Day

I visited Kouenji today.
There is a very pretty doughnut shop named "Floresta" in Koenji.
They sell very pretty doughnuts shaped animals.

As Valentine's Day is near coming, they sell

⚫limited package of small doughnuts    and
⚫limited designs of doughnuts

for the Day.

I bought the first one.
It's too pretty to eat them.

Panda-shaped cake filled with custard

This is a photo of panda-shaped cake.
It was sold at the event named "Yen-nichi"which was held just in front of Koenji station.
There are some more stalls selling foods like yakisoba and meat roll-up onigiri.

Let me explain some Japanese words here.
"Yen-nichi" is a nice coinage which reminds us of  "En-nichi" meaning the day of the fair.
"Yakisoba" is a fried noodle with meat and vegetables mainly cabbage and flavored with sauce.
"Onigiri" is a rice ball. Onigiri introduced above is rolled up with grilled meat.

F.Y.I, the event will be also held in Koenji on 14th and 15th.

The latest needlework of mine - Chinese lantern plant

This is the latest needlework of mine - Chinese lantern plant
In the language of flowers, chinese lantern plant signifies deception.
Chinese lantern plant is "hoozuki" in Japanese.
There are various theories as to why the flower is named hoozuki.
Some of the theories are introduced here.
One of the theories is that the berry of the flower is red as much as cheek ("hoo" in Japanese).
Another is that sting bug named "hoho" likes the flower.

The latest needlework of mine - Cherry blossom

This is the latest needlework of mine - Cherry blossom
In the language of flowers, cherry blossom signifies spiritual beauty.

Cherry blossom is "Sakura" in Japanese.
The name is derived from a goddess in Japanese myths, Konohanasakuyahime who is said to be beautiful just like the blooming cherry blossom.

The latest needlework of mine - Camellia

This is the latest needlework of mine - Camellia
In the language of flowers, Camellia signifies humility.

Many flowers lose their petals one by one when the last time comes.
Camellia however falls keeping its shape.
In the old days, it reminds samurais of  cutting their heads off.
Therefore it seems to be thought that camellia brings them ill fortune.

On the other hand, Tsubaki, Japanese name of camellia, is named for that it has thick and strong leaves or that its leaves are glossy.

I who live in the age with no idea of harakiri and kubikiri, love camellia and admire it for its beauty.
